Kevin:

That's like one of the places Australia's like I want to go, but I don't want to go Because I don't want to see no big ass spiders.

Angelo:

Yeah, the spiders be eating people.

Austin:

It's not about the big ones right.

Angelo:

No, no, they just discovered a new venomous species of spider.

Austin:

What's up everyone? Welcome back to a new season of the Nerd Out and Workout Podcast, where we nerd out, work out and podcast. As you can tell, we have a new setup for this newer season. We took an almost one-year hiatus.

Kevin:

Something happened but we're not going to speak on that.

Austin:

We just didn't want to do it anymore. Anyways, we're back. We got a new little layout. As you can see, we have a new little studio set up. Shout out to Barry, a podcast.

Kevin:

I'm just saying Shout him out, shout him out, shout him out.

Austin:

So now we get film on this episode and we get some shorts and stuff. Hopefully we have some entertaining stuff. But you probably noticed that we have two guests coming in. But before I even get that, Kevin, how you doing.

Kevin:

Oh man, I'm good man. It's been a crazy year. We haven't been podcasting, but ready to roll. Hopefully we got a great season for you guys Some new content, some great topics.

Austin:

Tell us the comparison of what you did. Oh, dude, I'm telling you, if you guys have been watching this podcast.

Kevin:

The original setup we had Was like Kind of like those chewing Tobacco cigarettes To straight heroin. Now, because this place Is insanely nice and like it's, it's Zero to one hundred. Like more PC Kind of thing to say Zero to one hundred, real quick, it's a nice setup.

Austin:

It's a very nice setup.

Kevin:

Yeah, I hope you guys enjoy it and you know, hit that follow.

Austin:

Hit the follow, hit the like.

Kevin:

Hit the like. Subscribe to us.

Austin:

Come on, just listen to our weird conversations, you know how we do. I want to introduce Angelo, Monji and Gabe. What's your last name, Varelas?

Gabe:

Varelas, varelas. I was going to say Valerio. Everyone always calls it Valeris. They always mix it on that.

Kevin:

Always Varelas, varelas. There we go.

Austin:

So Angelo is one of our long-time members at our gym Hyper Strength, and Gabe is one of our long-time members and turned coach, and now he heads our powerlifting division. He's the power lifter, the power lifting, gatekeeper of squat bench and deadlift. He's a god, he will judge you. A god amongst men. If you miss a rep, we charge you more.

Kevin:

I've seen it. I've been in the gym. He's like how do you?

Austin:

miss that. I was so amazed. I missed the rep on purpose because I want to pay you more.

Kevin:

I wanted more.

Austin:

But thank you guys for being a part of the podcast for the first episode of this season. I don't even know what season this is.

Kevin:

This is we're going to call it season three. Sure, you know why? Because season threes are usually really good, really.

Gabe:

That's not true. Seagulls are so bad sometimes. But you know what?

Kevin:

Let's just call it season three and we're just going to be. We're going to have fun this year. We're having fun this season.

Austin:

We're having fun right now. We got uh, we got our little uh mascot little mascot, what's it called? Victoria Hulkbuster. I know it's Hulkbuster, but what's the name? It's Victoria right?

Kevin:

that's a man, tony.

Austin:

Stark, that's a man, tony Stark, anyways it's not a car it's a new year 2025 a lot of A lot of things happening. And for you guys, what are your goals? What's happening? You can be as open or as closed off as you want.

Kevin:

I'll start with you, kev. Okay, so, since you guys know I've been at the gym for a while now and we're getting stronger, nice, but we want to lose the pounds, okay, let's do it. And now we're going to have this really nice studio. You're going to be seeing like a lot of this. We need to cut this down, like for sure, right. And you know we're going to be working with Ant.

Kevin:

You know, maybe work with Gabe soon in the mornings you know, yeah, possibly that's in the future, and we've always made fun of this, but I finally got sponsored really by Ozempic we got, we got we got sponsored by my doctor, not by the company, by the doctor, but yeah. So I had my first injection on Friday so we always made fun of it like it's so stupid. I'm just like my doctor you should try it or, you know, you could die so we're like okay so we're doing that, uh, one weekend and all the stories are fairly, fairly true.

Kevin:

Like you know, um the hunger goes down, you get gassy.

Austin:

That's not the ass, yeah you know we talked about this. Uh, the shitty. You know what? It's not bad, it's really not yet, because it's not the ass.

Kevin:

Yeah, you know, we talked about this. Uh-huh the shitty. You know what? It's not bad. It's really not yet, because it's on the small dosage right now. Okay, so we're doing, we're doing that, we're going to follow this and we'll see where it goes.

Kevin:

And uh, that's a big thing probably the next month, next month or so and we'll see what's going on and yeah, but I just want to shed some more pounds, get stronger and just you know what my big goal is? I want to deadlift big numbers. Deadlift's probably my weakest like lift, so I want to get that up bro Hollywood.

Austin:

Kevin is loading right now.

Kevin:

Hollywood you'll be able to Zempik face bro dude, that's insane.

Gabe:

I'm excited bro. You'll be all Zempic-faced, bro Dude. That's insane, I'm excited bro.

Kevin:

So we'll see where this goes. So yeah, Dude.

Austin:

So that is your goal. That is what we're doing right now.

Kevin:

Yeah, I just want to shed some pounds, feel better. You know what I mean. So, yeah, I think we could do that.

Austin:

No, we're going to do it. You know what You're right excuse anymore. We have drugs now. Baby, it's powerful being in the universe.

Kevin:

This is one injection. Maybe another injection later, like trend. That's what I'm saying. That's the other infinity stone. Then you got HGH.

Angelo:

We're moving up, we're going to have the whole glove, and we're just going to be like, and then blood doping. That's the reality. We're almost there.

Austin:

This is going to be great. Yeah, but we know that's just Dude next season, kevin's going to be like what's up, motherfucker.

Kevin:

What the?

Austin:

fuck man so fucking.

Kevin:

But yeah, that's the goal. You know what I mean. So we're going to hopefully lose some pounds this year we will, for sure we will and get a lot stronger, a lot. That's what we're trying to do, fuck yeah. Yeah so man yeah, what about you, angelo? What do?

Austin:

you feel Angelo Well.

Angelo:

I'm actually not going to the gym right now.

Austin:

It's all good.

Angelo:

I'm taking a little break. Let's see. So for my goals, probably I need to work more. Of course, got to make more money Trying to purchases and stuff. Probably do some more traveling, but maybe some solo trips. I haven't done that before. I've definitely had a plan where I want to hit up a couple countries Like Thailand. I've already been to Thailand.

Kevin:

Austin.

Angelo:

I've been to those areas. It's cool, but it's not all hyped up how you're hyping it up.

Kevin:

Japan If I want to go back to Thailand.

Angelo:

I don't know, I'd probably. I'd rather go back to Japan first. Japan and then go to Germany, greece.

Gabe:

That'd be really cool if I could work that out, that'd be sick.

Angelo:

Yeah, just spend more time with family. You know we're getting into that age. My cousin just went Australia yesterday so we were spending some time. She spent a month here in the States so it was really cool meeting her niece or her daughter, get to know family more and just be more closer to them and stuff have you been to Australia? No, I want to go there too.

Kevin:

I heard it's nice there. That's one of the places Australia is like I want to go. But I don't want to go Because I don't want to see no big ass spiders.

Austin:

Yeah, the spiders.

Gabe:

Oh yeah, the spiders be eating people, it's not about the big ones right.

Angelo:

No, no, they just discovered a new venomous species of spider, like last week, I'm not even kidding. Yeah, see.

Austin:

No, yeah, fuck that. Well, I mean, I like what was. It was as small as that. Seeing it to your car Like when you're in traffic and then you flip your visor because of the sun, and then the spider falls on your lap. Ah okay, or when you're gassing up, you flip the gas cap the spider pops out and then the snake comes out of your gas tank.

Angelo:

So I'm not going to go there, then I'm going to go somewhere else.

Austin:

Well, there's like well, I used to work with a few trainers who were from Australia and I would be like, oh, that's crazy, and she's like it's not that bad. I mean, the one time I saw something at the gym was I thought a 45 pound plate was moving across the floor.

Angelo:

No, it was a spider oh my god, oh my god a 45 pound plate, that's too big got mistaken for a spider.

Austin:

That's insane. That's insanely big, but she's like it wasn't that bad and I'm like you're from there.

Kevin:

You see that all the time, bro, I'm torching the place, but yeah so maybe traveling and then seeing more family.

Angelo:

Yeah, just try to do stuff for myself early. Good yeah, hell yeah, it's about time I start practicing that more.

Kevin:

Oh so family Putting you first.

Austin:

I love it.

Kevin:

Starting.

Angelo:

Yeah, maybe if it's in the cards. Yeah, maybe. Yeah, we'll see. Oh, I love that response.

Gabe:

I play my trap card Because before you're all like no, no, no, no, no Now you're like hmm.

Austin:

Nice Pot of greed, shout out to Abby First born. Yeah, yeah, pot of greed Twins Pot of greed.

Kevin:

Pot of greed that's pretty sick though. I'm happy for you. Those are some great goals, man yeah, support.

Angelo:

Abby wants to travel too, so she's been doing her own traveling, so I'm supporting her. That's nice that's awesome yeah, that's pretty much. It just, yeah, get more active, go back to the gym, eventually get back into swimming. Maybe try to go back to my triathlon goal at least do one.

Angelo:

I had it a long time ago, but I just kind of, you know, sprint triathlon, right, or a full on one, or just there's even like there's ones that are shorter than sprint. It's like a first timer like you, just I'll do the shorter ones, yeah, oh yeah, I want to do the sprint eventually see, I went to Santa Cruz all the time.

Gabe:

I think it was September what a great goals, man yeah that's awesome man, that's cool, Thank you.

Kevin:

Thanks for sharing Japan oh yeah, how about you bro.

Gabe:

All right, gabe. Personal side I want to spend more time with family.

Kevin:

Yeah.

Gabe:

I feel like I'm usually hella busy, but just me and my brother got some trips planned in the future. We're trying to hit up different concerts that we want to go to, but in different states. Athletic wise, of course, I want to increase the big three, but I also want to Spread out my Verizon In terms of like that type of athletic stuff I do so. I did like my first half marathon last year and I'll do a full one.

Angelo:

Oh yeah, that's right.

Kevin:

Nice man, I have a strongman meet in March. Strongman, nice, that's right, just different stuff.

Gabe:

But in terms of the big three, yeah, I have like Specific numbers and I mean yeah, we'll see if I can hit him or not. What are the numbers? A thousand pounds each. A thousand thousand thousand, yeah, a thousand two thousand, no, oh my god, that would be insane bro, two thousand bench squat, so squat. I'm at like 540 right now I want 585, so it's close to a thousand.

Austin:

I mean you're a later half of it later half, yeah, yeah yeah half or two yo on 585 and the next week a thousand next week a thousand, and then we just see where we go from there. So 585 for squat 585 squat bench.

Gabe:

I'm at 352, but I want 370s area 370 might as well go 400 bro

Kevin:

you're not asking for much.

Gabe:

I can do 3.7 pounds get into the 400 club, bro exactly these are the kind of goals I want by the end of the year, so I can't hit…. There's no way I can hit 400 by the end of this year. So, yes, long-term goal.

Austin:

I want Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. So 585 for squat, yeah, 585 for squat, 370 for bench.

Gabe:

Yeah for bench.

Kevin:

And deadlift, deadlift. That's this crazy number right here.

Austin:

I'm at 610.

Gabe:

Yeah, that's my goal.

Austin:

Like, I'll be happy with 650. Like bro, I'll be ecstatic at 500.

Angelo:

That's pretty wild actually that's insane bro.

Kevin:

Thank you Speechless. It's great.

Gabe:

I love the goals for you. Yeah, thank you. What about Strongman goals? Strongman goals, just do my first meet. So my first meet is in March. Once I get that over with, I'll see. I mean, it's really fun. You just carry heavy shit. That's Like in March that competition. There's a deadlift carry or a car deadlift carry. There you go. She did that. The car that I'm excited for, that one we need to buy a car like a beetle.

Angelo:

Yes, like a four-door, it's a Land Cruiser. We get it. You're hella strong, it's an. Escalade bro, it's a problem bro, fully loaded Escalade.

Gabe:

I don't want to go cheap, no, but yeah, in terms of Strongman, I just want to do my first meet, that's the only goal I have. That's so cool, that's great. And where is it? At Sacramento, on Team Strength, really good gym. There you go and explore other gyms, there you go, just travel around, just find gyms everywhere.

Austin:

Oh, that's cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What about that Tulum gym, that influencer gym? Where's?

Angelo:

that one at In Mexico. No, tulum, tulum is in Mexico.

Gabe:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I've seen that online.

Kevin:

Like what he was, like Flintstones, oh.

Austin:

Like you're working on the Flintstone.

Kevin:

So, you're just breaking rocks and like cutting wood all this.

Gabe:

Thing they're made.

Austin:

You're propelling cars with your feet.

Kevin:

I thought you're saying like oh, here's a big boulder, we need these in small pieces.

Austin:

Servitude. So here's a big boulder. We need these in small pieces.

Kevin:

Servitude. So here's your sledgehammer. Take it down now you know you owe us $100,. By the way, Like what?

Austin:

I just broke rocks for you $100, brother, that's $100.

Kevin:

That's cool man.

Angelo:

Needed by Grav I dig that Cool bro. We'll be rooting for you, for sure, man. Yes, thank you, thank you.

Kevin:

You're going to hit those goals, brother. I can feel it, destroy them.

Austin:

Dude, what's that total, then what's your…. That's the total. What's the total? 585. 585, 370, 650.

Kevin:

It's like 16, 1700.

Gabe:

Yeah, that sounds right About 16, 1700. 585, With 370 plus 650.

Kevin:

Oh, 1600. 1605. Arigato, baby You're welcome Lightweight Lightweight baby Lightweight, baby Damn 1605.

Gabe:

That's pretty sick, bro. Yeah, that'd be cool. That'd be cool. I'd be happy with that. Anything else? No, that's about it I can think of from right now, maybe others will come along the way, along the way, but as of right now, Goals always change man.

Kevin:

Yeah, as long as we're moving as long as we're moving.

Austin:

Yeah, yeah.

Kevin:

What about you, Big Dog?

Austin:

No, I mean there's some things going on, but I'd rather save that for a later episode. But but, but for the most part it's just, it's just probably spending more, more time with Junior, you know, like he's getting to the age where he's like what he's like aware now.

Austin:

He's like staring at me and like demanding things, like he's communicating. He knows how to communicate. I guess when I was talking to the pediatrician from 18 months to two years, that's when their vocabulary starts, you know like getting up there and he starts communicating and this I was like this motherfucker, like he's, he's in the 91st percentile of height. So when they told me that I'm like yo, can you do that calculation thing where I can see how tall they are like in the future? And then my Giselle was like, can you stop doing that? And I was like, no, I just want to know. And then the the doctor was like it's okay, a lot of dads do this when they see that the kid's actually getting taller. She actually did this calculation thing and she's like how tall are you? To Giselle, then she's like how tall am I? And then he's like all right, he's going to be around 5'9", that's an estimate. And I was like, oh so six feet I was like six feet.

Angelo:

We're getting close to there, right.

Austin:

The, the elusive six foot man. Yeah, dude, that's awesome, but it's just he's growing so fast. And so there was a moment where I realized, like this kid is like watching me and so I'm on. I'm at the fridge we have this morning routine. I wake him up, you know, change his diaper and usually gets a milk. We call it a dead it. That called the dead it, right?

Kevin:

so I'm on the fridge and I'm like just reviewing I think I was looking at the niner calendar like the old schedule and I'm just kind of like man.

Austin:

I'm just kind of like zoning out right, like should have won. Yeah, man, I'm just like staring there right and then junior, because before, when he was, you know, when he's a baby I'm just getting the bottle, I give it to him. Right, this kid's standing right next to me, he's looking at me, he goes Dadad, dadad, dadad, dadad, and I'm like, oh, I'm sorry. And then I grab it, I give it to him and he just swipes it for me, walks away and I'm like Damn.

Angelo:

Wait till they say no bro.

Kevin:

He got that attitude.

Angelo:

I wonder where he gets it from.

Austin:

His mom for sure. No, he's going to get her height?

Angelo:

Giselle's like 6'1", she's 5'7".

Kevin:

No way she's way taller than that. I think 5'7".

Austin:

I was like 5'3", because I'm 6'1", then I'm 7'0", dude, if you'm 6'1", oh yeah, yeah, yeah, sure, sure sure.

Angelo:

Then I'm 7'0".

Kevin:

Dude, if you're 6'1", I'm 220. You know what I mean? That's crazy bro. That's crazy work. You just said.

Angelo:

Oh my gosh.

Austin:

What was it? But that's the goal and we have other things in the works. But again, I don't want to. I'll save that for the next episode, but I'm very excited. I just wanted to share that little hint. Another one is that I just got.

Kevin:

I just made a head JV coach for the high school I'm excited for that, so yeah, I'm excited for these kids McDonald's bro that's what we're going to do.

Austin:

No, this program is pretty competitive. The school, like Everyone's bought in, it's hard for high schools. Sometimes you get into a high school they're super bought in and sometimes they're not. The admin, the teachers, the administrators, they just, no, just make the kids play. You don't care about.

Gabe:

We want them to have fun.

Austin:

We just make sure they have fun and you don't need. We're going to take more money from you and give it to golf. It's like what, what's?

Kevin:

this golf.

Austin:

Oh, I mean sorry, I heard golf. Golf is great, but I'm just saying anyways, but this school is a new school, brand new school. Shout out Kathleen McDonald High School in San Jose. They're trying to get to that level of they want to be a competitive school. And so when they made, they offered it to me and I was like yo, I'll shit, hell yeah.

Angelo:

So so when they made… they offered it to me and I was like Yo, I'll… Hell yeah, that's fine.

Austin:

So, dude, like these kids that are coming in, they're like… they're like as tall as you, the freshmen.

Angelo:

Wow, they're 5'10 and a half, bro. Yes, the half matters to me. No, no, but they're tall.

Austin:

And he goes Hi, coach. And I'm like, what do you play? I'm already coached. I play receiver. Like yo, yeah, there's this kid, his name's Justice, and I remember the first time I saw him it was Justice and Josiah. These kids were like tall and they played football and I remember we were scrimmaging Silver Creek and Justice comes over to me, he goes, he goes coach, and this guy's big, he's tall, and he goes coach, just throw it up there, I'll be open. I'm always open. And I'm like, oh yeah, I told the quarterback like, hey, zach, just just chug it, we're gonna call the play just streaks, like just throw it to justice. This one like launches straight out of her freaking gun, just like just darts it down to the end zone. Zach just throws it up in there and he just catches it that like the varsity coaches are watching this because we're scrimmaging another school. I'm excited because I'm like, yo, we got some players Varsity comes up to me and goes, hey, are we taking Justin in?

Kevin:

I'm like, oh, Okay, hey, man, that's the life of JV. That's the life of JV, though you got to keep those secrets. You know what I mean.

Austin:

I know that's why I want suck.

Kevin:

Yeah, can't make them too good. Hey, overthrow them, dude. Hey overthrow them. Hey trip Fall down.

Austin:

They can do that, I don't know, oh, varsity is like JV's there for varsity.

Kevin:

Yeah, I like.

Austin:

JV, because it's like less, it's not the varsity responsibility, but you still get to have hella fun.

Kevin:

Also, you build like a foundation. You build a foundation. You have fun with the kids.

Austin:

Varsity is all about like Fucking the newspapers coming at you Like you need to win, do you think you? Can beat Wilcox and Los Gatos and it's like, bro, this ain't the NFL.

Kevin:

We're a new school. Like chill out, I can't even finish my English test. I don't want to beat Wilcox bro.

Austin:

No, but like yeah, so, but that anyways. That is that for 2025.

Kevin:

And another big goal Is for this to start.

Austin:

You know, start this off right with this, with the podcast.

Kevin:

So expand and dominate, expand and dominate, you know if you don't know Austin, this guy's a humble guy. I was like, yeah, we're gonna dominate everything, we're gonna take over San Jose and then Fremont. And he's like, no, no, no, we're good right now, you know, I mean we.

Austin:

And then Fremont, and he's like no, no, no, we're good right now. No, no, no, you know, I mean we are in Fremont.

Kevin:

Oh, right now Planting the seeds, I'm just saying we're planting the seeds.

Austin:

Isn't Fremont like the happiest city right now?

Kevin:

Oh, like rank the nation. I don't know. All I know is that when I drove in here, I was like these houses are big, what? The hell I need to get over here, bro. Good schools here, apparently.

Gabe:

Yeah.

Kevin:

The only thing I knew about Fremont was like oh Bart, I got to go.

Gabe:

Bart to the.

Kevin:

Warriors game but then now it's booming.

Austin:

Warm Springs Warm Springs Road.

Angelo:

Is that here or that's further down? I'm not sure. I feel like Fremont, like Newark Union City. They just meld together.

Kevin:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Angelo:

Yeah and then no disrespect. I'm just saying why is it?

Kevin:

You're going to offend people from Newark Like we're not from Fremont.

Austin:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're not from Newark, bro.

Angelo:

It's the same area Some people get like so, like you didn't see, the Hayward People are like no, we're from Hayward.

Austin:

I'm like okay, Okay, I guess, but like I would understand if it's like you know, san Jose and LA are kind of together.

Kevin:

It's like no, no, no, what? Those are those East Coast heads?

Austin:

They're like oh, california, oh dude, yeah, dude, I got. Yeah, yeah, he went to California and he hit me up. Hey, I'm coming over to California. Man, let's sync up. I'm like cool when you at, and he goes, I'm in Fort, something, something, and I was like. I looked it up on Google Maps and it was like LA and I'm like bro, I'm not.

Kevin:

Hell. No dog, I'm nowhere near here. We're six hours away, brother, you want to have?

Austin:

lunch, Like you get to drive over here. That's actually funny, but yeah, no, Anyways. Well, I appreciate that, yeah so lots of goals. Okay, so 2025. What's trending right now? What is going on? What is trending in 2025? Off the top of your heads, what have you guys been seeing in your algos?

Gabe:

TikTok shutdown.

Austin:

Oh yeah, that. Oh yeah, that was the fastest, stupidest ban ever.

Kevin:

The funniest thing was, this guy had posted thank you, tiktok. This is Austin.

Austin:

This was me. Thank you, tiktok. Thank you for everything.

Kevin:

I wouldn't have grown.

Angelo:

And then six hours later, I'm back, baby, I'm back, I'm cooking. It was less than a 15 hour turnaround For the life of me.

Austin:

I knew something would have happened. I knew something was going to happen. I knew something was going to happen like this.

Kevin:

But I waited to the very last minute because I was like because I was like there's no fucking way they're going to ban it, right yeah.

Austin:

And then, when it got closer, I said, okay, I'm just going to, just in case, just in case, and then like, if it comes back in a month, okay, it kind of washes over. Bitch came back overnight, made me look like a fucking idiot.

Kevin:

I was like are you? Shitting me right now, I think the worst casualties of the band was CapCut and Marvel Snap. Right, because everyone's like CapCut. Capcut is this. I use CapCut what everyone uses can't use it anymore and like, oh, that's kind of wild, you know there's, you cut.

Austin:

now I'm on that shit. We can't use Capcom anymore, that's what.

Kevin:

I try, that's what everyone was saying.

Austin:

It was like my video my video checking his phone right now my memes, my memes I made so many memes, but yeah I mean the crazy thing.

Kevin:

They're like TikTok's bad you know, yeah, I was having a meltdown.

Angelo:

Well, no, not you, some people were having like because it's their literal livelihood and how they feed families and stuff.

Kevin:

That is true. Oh well, I'm talking more about the people that were, like I was on Instagram Reels and after two I can't do it. What.

Austin:

Yeah, Some people were saying yeah, I was on instagram this whole time well, that's.

Kevin:

That's because when people watch tiktok, it's like now, right, and the one on reels is like three weeks ago. Yeah, you get. You know what I mean. That's how it like ends up, because everyone reposts, right?

Austin:

so well, I repost within.

Kevin:

See you're, if you're if you're an older head, like, and you're on the reels you love reels you just dated yourself. You're an older head.

Angelo:

Yeah, I guess I'm an older head then.

Kevin:

I enjoy reels.

Angelo:

I don't think there's a problem with it either. I watch content.

Kevin:

What about you, Gabe?

Austin:

You're like younger. Do you enjoy MySpace and stuff, or what is it?

Gabe:

Yeah, MySpace.

Austin:

You don't even remember.

Gabe:

I had a MySpace. It was towards the end.

Kevin:

Yeah, it wasn't a good MySpace.

Austin:

There is a website now that mimics MySpace. What is it I forgot?

Kevin:

what it's called. I missed that too.

Austin:

I'll probably put it in the show notes, but I don't.

Kevin:

On the top of my head.

Austin:

Usually I have my laptop open but this is so new to look at. And it's like dude, we're freeballing right now it's okay to freeball.

Angelo:

You gotta air it out, bro, it's okay.

Gabe:

Do you go reels? Do you go shorts? Not YouTube shorts, but I do everything else. I do Instagram reels and I do TikTok. I do both, so like I'll be on Instagram and then I'll see like a reel, and then I go back and forth. It's bad. I don't understand the tiktok instagram reels are more ruthless.

Gabe:

That's why I like the comments because the comments go off like you go on tiktok and they'll video and they'll be like you should post this on reels because people like don't give a fuck on reels no reels will fuck you up they're harsh and I love the comics are right.

Austin:

Yeah comics are like man. Why should I be taking advice from you? Fat fuck, I'm like oh cool, thank you.

Kevin:

Thank you for that. Yeah, thank you.

Austin:

And then TikTok's like I'm so happy for you. You helped me move and work and do stuff with my family.

Angelo:

And I'm like I'm going to stick to TikTok.

Austin:

So it seems like the community is more positive on.

Angelo:

TikTok. I don't have TikTok, so like I try to stay away from I, just try to keep my socials, like you know my favorite part about TikTok is that I can watch movies on TikTok there's like 10 parts and you're like I've watched this movie already.

Gabe:

It's like dude, I watched a whole movie on TikTok.

Kevin:

Yeah, like they explain, like in parts they explain the scenes and stuff and then you're like I've watched this movie.

Angelo:

I know Fast and Furious, fast and Furious.

Kevin:

Yeah, I mean 10 parts, you know 10 parts, and then you get the whole family.

Angelo:

Family. That's what it's all about.

Austin:

Family, family.

Kevin:

Dom Toretto, dom Toretto yeah.

Angelo:

Nothing gets in the way of family.

Kevin:

I don't think we could. I mean.

Austin:

It's different now.

Kevin:

We're upscale now, bro. We can't pay for this music. Austin.

Austin:

They're going, I'm going.

Kevin:

Vanilla ice.

Austin:

Was it a Milli Vanilli? He made that thing about.

Gabe:

He said that about their music Vanilla Ice. Totally Was it a Milli Vanilli. Oh, Milli Vanilli.

Kevin:

Vanilla Ice, what he made that thing about. He said that about their music. He's like, yeah, theirs goes ding, ding, ding, ding, ding ding and mine goes ding, ding, ding ding ding ding. If you guys don't know who Vanilla Ice is, you're too young, it's okay you know when to lie, yeah, I know when to lie Dude games like in between you know what I mean yeah, we should have like younger. Yeah, we need some Sure. Do it Like Gen Z, gen Zers, just get their thoughts Sure.

Angelo:

Like yeah, grandpa.

Austin:

So TikTok, I know the TikTok ban. Yeah, I'm just kind days, or is it back back?

Gabe:

I think 90 days for now, and then they're gonna like try to fix something.

Austin:

Well, we'll see the Supreme Leader saved it so.

Angelo:

Supreme Leader. He didn't save shit, bro. He initiated the ban in the first place.

Austin:

Yeah, yeah. I usually don't get political on this podcast, but right now it's just like.

Kevin:

Yeah, the inauguration, careful dude.

Gabe:

Whoa whoa, whoa, I was going to do it. I was going to do it. I swear, I swear, I swear, I swear.

Kevin:

I swear, I swear. Back to the apartment, bro.

Angelo:

We're going back to the apartment, bro, Edit it out.

Kevin:

edit it out. You're too strong. It's a different time. You know, just got to roll with the punches and you know it is what it is, you know, and I mean, that's how it is, man, We'll get through it. Yeah Fine, I'll just say one thing about it. You know everyone's like, oh, it's going to change everything. You know, blah, blah, blah. But this is what I say.

Gabe:

You got four years.

Angelo:

I don't think he can run for re-election because he's he had two terms.

Austin:

I mean, you can always change it.

Kevin:

No, Executive order bro.

Angelo:

Executive order doesn't trump constitution, order 66.

Austin:

Tell that to.

Kevin:

Palpatine bro. Order 47. Order, 66. Order 66.

Angelo:

Yes, my lord yes my lord, you were the chosen one.

Austin:

Well, all the Samoans are going to turn.

Kevin:

Oh my God, All the Samoans, bro. That's brutal.

Angelo:

That's brutal.

Kevin:

Oh, peanut butter cups. You know what I?

Austin:

mean, I'm just like all the Cold Wars were Samoan bro.

Angelo:

There's also only one guy. He's from New Zealand. The guy right oh, he's a Kiwi.

Kevin:

He's a Kiwi, new, zealand, I don't know how to. I'm wrong, I apologize, but anyways, where do we go off to? I mean, we're talking about trends in 2025. I think the biggest thing is probably walking. I think people are getting on the train more about walking.

Angelo:

Oh yeah.

Kevin:

Oh yeah, everyone talks about walking, but it's 2025, is the time to actually start walking.

Austin:

So people don't believe. I don't want to say people, but there are influencers. I'm seeing there's people advocating about walking for weight loss, which is great If you're trying to lose fat, lose weight, especially in 2025 with New Year's resolutions. Walking is so underrated. But there are coaches out there who would be like walking is not an exercise because you're not getting your heart rate up and this, that and the other, and I'm like bro, just walk.

Kevin:

Have you walked in San Francisco, yeah, or in Japan, bro.

Angelo:

You'll burn 20,000 calories minimum just walking in Japan, because you walk everywhere. I'm in New York, new York's insane.

Kevin:

Oh yeah, yeah. Bro, you know, when we were in New York for a wedding dude, I swear, I made sure every place. I went was minimal walking, like I made sure the subway stop was right next to where I was going, or I was like I'm not going there and plus we went during like July, was it?

Gabe:

Oh dude it was like balls hot. It was crazy yeah.

Angelo:

But, walking, walking's in Walking's good. Walking's good for you. It primes you to do more exercise because you have an energy boost yeah, it gives you more motivation to do something. You just got to start walking.

Austin:

It's not bad what was the longest distance you ever walked to date?

Angelo:

to date, it's probably in Japan, because I have to check. I don't want to check, but it's. I think the longest steps I've ever clocked in in a day was 28,000 steps. Nice, yeah, that's working, walking through all of like Tokyo and stuff.

Gabe:

Jesus, wow yeah.

Angelo:

Cause, even even with the, even you take trains, but there's so much to see. Right, it's like Disneyland, but in the city form. So everything you pass by, it's like you, just it, just the time flies, have you?

Austin:

Yeah, it's really good I like Disney Sea I don't think it's cheaper to go to Tokyo Disney than actual Disneyland.

Angelo:

It can be, but then like… Depending on what you spend on, it can add up. But yeah, so $28,000, I think is my max.

Gabe:

What about you, Gabe? That was when you said the step challenge at Hyper.

Austin:

Oh, it was in the $50,000. What it was in the 50K, what? Oh yeah, dude, these guys were like killing it, what the fuck so like on the leaderboard like I was like, oh, I hit 20K. I'm gonna go to sleep and then I wake up and you and Nicole are like at 50K a pop. I'm like where the fuck did they go?

Angelo:

Yeah, Did you walk to like did you walk to San Francisco?

Gabe:

And all the whole staff. They're like eh, stupid, whatever, I'm like I'll beat you. And they're like nah, nah, give us names.

Kevin:

Is it?

Gabe:

right with. Spanthony.

Gabe:

And then each time I was paired up with each time I was paired up with somebody, like they would see and I can see they're trying to one-up me I'm like, oh, these fuckers like. Or the first week, and it was fine, I was walking, but it was when I went up against Phillip. So when I was coaching at Deanne's at the time I'd like walk in circles for days as I'm coaching them and just so I'd coach, a shot put or ring the javelin one way, so they're kind of far from each other. So I just walk back and forth for days and just coach from the middle and just go, and I'm just in the neighborhood just walking for a day, just speed walking. And then Phillip was messaging me like bro, can you stop please? I'm like fuck you.

Gabe:

And I'm just going, I'm like yeah, and so it hit midnight and I'm like I have the 5.30 am class the next day. But I don't care I need a win, and so I just kept going.

Kevin:

And then, yeah, I love that challenge we might do it again, then the most I've ever walked is probably either at Comic Con. One of the Comic.

Gabe:

Cons.

Kevin:

We went to that or friendship games get out, get the fuck out of here. I'm just throwing that in there.

Austin:

Probably we walked a lot during the friendship games when I was the coach? No, no, probably because we were, you know we walked a lot, was it during that? The friendship games where we went was?

Kevin:

it. No, it was like anytime, like when I was like the coach, you know, we'd be walking back and forth to like making sure everyone was okay, stuff, like that. We did that shit for free guys, yeah, but I think I definitely think Comic Con was probably more where I walked, more the most probably.

Austin:

Damn, I miss Comic Con I want to go back.

Angelo:

Comic Con 50 year was amazing. That's my first one with you guys.

Kevin:

I was not there for that one July 2019.

Angelo:

Right before the pandemic, that was a good year.

Kevin:

You weren't there.

Angelo:

Was I there.

Kevin:

I can't remember. I swear to God you were there. I might have been there for like a day or something. Didn't we have dinner together? I don't know. Didn't we have the steak dinner yeah weren't you there? No, that was, wasn't that 21?

Angelo:

No, we had a steak dinner.

Kevin:

The one we had steak was before Junior came. The one remember we had the Great Hotel. Yeah, Was it so you weren't there Omni? We had Omni, remember that was 21, right, I think it was 21.

Austin:

Oh, so 2019.

Kevin:

I don't think I went to that one Really yeah, because that's when I had the ramen shop.

Austin:

Oh, that's right, I think we stopped by. Did we stop by, or something?

Kevin:

Probably that ramen shop, bro. I can't remember, I don't know.

Austin:

Because I went to D23 that year too, and I think we stopped by damn, d23 looks cute.

Kevin:

Oh cool, you're so exclusive. What you're so cool?

Austin:

you got the insight on Disney stuff well, that was like that one year and then after that we never got back. Because I have a kid now.

Kevin:

Yeah what about you? What about you biggest, longest?

Austin:

work in the Niner game probably like same thing 28,000, says but goddammit man Going from the field to Section 400s to give out coupons and going back on the field to look for fighter pilots, I mean it was great. It was great I think it was during the Detroit comeback.

Kevin:

The NFC Championship game. That was a good one.

Austin:

Oh man, I was about to cry, but anyways, yeah, that game was insane. But yeah, just walking around working those games, you're just walking a lot, but walking is great.

Austin:

It's a great option, especially if you're starting out losing fat weight, like if you're looking for sound advice. These are just from a group of dudes who like to work out, but also a couple of us are coaches. One of us is actually a medical trained professional for SHIELD not gonna say his name, angelo, but thanks. I'm not going to say his name, angelo, thanks. But Milwaukee's great. But another thing that's also helped and, gabe, you can actually talk about this because I've been helping coach clients through this when we give food advice or nutrition advice, we always try to stay on the line of not giving medical or registered dietitian type scope of work but just staying very basic of like calories in, calories out, macros. And one of the biggest things that I've noticed that been helping clients and me myself is weighing the food. Yeah, weighing the food.

Gabe:

Hell yeah.

Austin:

How do you like? You always just go by grams, right, grams?

Gabe:

yeah, fluid ounces, anything but grams, are usually my weigh, everything. Or how do you do it for you? For me, because I compete some, I do by like the gram, by by everything, um, but for clients and everything I don't have, like I'll have them measure to their best ability and then sometimes they don't know, and so then I'll say like, okay, um, I have a spreadsheet and I'll have them just take a picture of what they ate, because they don't know how to measure it. And they'll write in the comments like I'll have a photo. So then I'll look at it and I've been measuring for so long that I can kind of look at it and be like, oh, that's probably around like 50 grams of protein.

Gabe:

This is probably like this much protein, and then like the calories, whatever.

Austin:

That's pretty cool. You're like a food measuring AI right now. Yeah.

Angelo:

That's how you process, like your algorithms like 100 grams, you get a picture of your glide and he's like, oh, that's 50 grams yeah 100 grams

Kevin:

of carbs.

Angelo:

You cool bro.

Kevin:

You good, you're literally motorboating their pictures, brother. That's scary, bro. Oh burrito, oh burrito. That's great, that's great.

Gabe:

Yeah, but for the most part, yeah. I mean yeah, same thing. I try not to go too out of the scope of practice, so it's just yeah, measure the food and just like, try to see within calories and protein and chilling.

Kevin:

I love that you measure in grams, because it's just super precise too. I hate counting like ounces. Oh, 10.4 ounces.

Austin:

And that could be grams. Yeah, it's like a general thing grams.

Kevin:

It's just, you know, like, when it comes to like baking and measuring, it's like easier, easier, it's more precise you know what I mean because, like when it comes there's some baking recipes are like oh, one cup of flour right, or in grams it'll be like oh, 75 grams of flour, it's just more precise. You know, because when people scoop a cup they might not like scrape the top off, or they might be hella high.

Kevin:

So it's like not precise, so that's why I prefer weighing grams when it comes to baking and stuff like that very clutch yeah, it shows people like how much they're eating.

Austin:

Yeah for sure, like you bag of chips or bowl of chips like, oh, that's cool. I remember pouring some and I'm like, oh, that's a lot yeah yeah dude. But wait, one of the biggest feedbacks when I, you know, I tell my clients, just start weighing it. Buy a food scale on Amazon. Like yeah, we should start selling food scales.

Kevin:

Yeah, hyper strength.

Austin:

Food scales and then when they weigh it, you just hear Gabe go oh my God, I'd buy one.

Kevin:

You know for sure that's sick.

Austin:

But food scale. Amazon, you can buy it. Amazon, you can buy it. Don't buy the Dude. They're trying to sell that shit. We talked about TikTok. Tiktok shop tries to sell these weird scales for like 50 bucks. Yeah, and then you see it on Amazon for like $12.

Kevin:

Yeah exactly that's what we're going to do. We're going to go to Timu Timu. We're going to order and then sell for like 20 bucks a piece.

Austin:

Business.

Angelo:

Business.

Kevin:

That's how you make money.

Austin:

But if you're having trouble, you know just, you don't have to always count the calories, but just weighing the food and seeing what you're putting in, you'll just naturally be more aware of it.

Kevin:

Oh yeah, for sure.

Austin:

I mean, that's just how it is. That's helped a lot. And then the third thing that I want to talk about was what was it? Was it sleeping?

Kevin:

Yes, sleeping.

Angelo:

No one sleeps.

Austin:

People are hustle mode.

Angelo:

I mean, that's our culture in America, right.

Gabe:

Team no sleep. Team no sleep.

Kevin:

I'll sleep when I die. You know what I mean. I'll sleep when I die.

Austin:

I'll sleep when I die.

Kevin:

Like damn.

Austin:

I got to make this trade. Now I'm going to go Dogecoin to the moon Dogecoin. You guys still fuck with that Nah.

Angelo:

I have Doge from like a long time ago. Yeah, me too.

Kevin:

You know when everyone was on the crypto, I kind of like missed the train already. So I said I'm not going to invest in it because I just missed the train already. Because if you're getting into Bitcoin now, unless you have like a huge backing, then go for it. You know. But I remember when they're talking about Bitcoin as like StarCraft, like tournament winnings, you know, oh my God. And back then you know second place would get like 50 and like third place would get 20. And think about if you kept them now. Kept them now Like holy crap.

Kevin:

Playing Starcraft, you just won.

Austin:

How long ago was that?

Kevin:

Dude, that was like 2010s.

Angelo:

Yeah, damn, there's a Bitcoin… so if you want to go down that rabbit hole, there's a Bitcoin calculator to see, if you bought Bitcoin in a certain year, how much value it would have. Now. That's like really depressing.

Austin:

But how much… but how?

Angelo:

much could it be? Oh well, we won't know. I mean, there's projected figures, they're saying we already hit a we I'm not even part of that.

Kevin:

Yeah, we already hit 100K Crypto boys baby.

Austin:

Bitcoin already hit over 105K. Yeah, but then it could go to a trillion in 10 years.

Angelo:

But like, and then a jillion in 20 years. But it's depressing like how much money you could have had because when you're talking about like 50-30 Bitcoin or whatever Dude you.

Austin:

Yeah, I guess, but.

Angelo:

No, dude, Hindsight, you know it's always hindsight, it's always 20-20.

Austin:

Yeah, I mean if I hit that royal flush, that would have been nice.

Kevin:

Yeah, it would have been sweet, but it is what it is man, yeah, but sleep yeah, sleep, sleep.

Austin:

So, don't buy crypto and go to sleep.

Kevin:

I mean, maybe you want to do that, or buy crypto and then make money while you sleep. That's how it works, that's how it should be.

Angelo:

There's so many coins.

Austin:

So, many coins bro.

Kevin:

How many hours of sleep do you normally get a night? I know it's tough for you.

Gabe:

Thanks to the whoop.

Angelo:

Not sponsored. Actually, I have a promo code, so I'll put it in the show notes guys I am part of.

Austin:

I am a whoop ambassador. I haven't really announced it, but thanks to whoop. I'm a gold member now. I average after junior got to sleep in a regular schedule seven hours, six and a half to seven hours sweet. After Junior got to sleep in a regular schedule seven hours, six and a half to seven hours sweet.

Kevin:

I like that. Yeah, we're in bed by eight, jesus Christ.

Austin:

That's nice, yeah, but I'm not sleeping until like nine ten eleven thirty well, I'm TikTok advanced. I was on reels and I couldn't take the experience this is just not the same, so I was stressing out. I couldn't take the experience. This is just not the same. So I was stressing out, I couldn't sleep, the algo's not the same, and then it just came back on in five hours. That's just stupid. I still kick myself for that. Yeah, that's what I do. Six and a half, you guys. Six and a half, six and a half.

Kevin:

If I can, minimum for me. I could go on five. Six is like ideal. I might be in the lower end of this, but I think seven to eight for me is too much. Really, I feel groggy, like I just feel extra.

Gabe:

So that's, why.

Kevin:

I think five is good, six is like okay for me, but like seven to eight is just. I feel a little, just a little. I feel like I'm just sluggish, interesting, just a little.

Angelo:

I feel like I'm just sluggish.

Kevin:

So interesting, you're still using the CPAP right.

Angelo:

CPAP boy, cpap boy, cpap boy. Yeah, I've noticed if. I when I regularly use my CPAP I'll do shorter sleeping hours, but then without it I'll try I sleep longer, but I think it's because we're actually breathing yeah no, for sure, when we sleep it's like oh yeah, I can think.

Kevin:

Yeah, yeah, heart's okay, you ever like wake up and you didn't realize your CPAP fell off. And then you're like I have a major headache now.

Angelo:

Yeah.

Gabe:

I feel hella shitty yeah.

Austin:

Do you have a CPAP, Gabe?

Gabe:

No, but I sleep with a nose strip.

Austin:

Oh, there you go, seven hours.

Gabe:

Six hours. It usually ain't for like 7, 7, 8.

Austin:

Oh yeah.

Gabe:

And on the weekend I'll sleep till like 9 sometimes, Dude I can't sleep past like 7 or 8.

Angelo:

Like, my body will always just wake up at a certain time. Yeah.

Kevin:

But when I?

Angelo:

work AM shift for a while. Even if I slept at like 1 or 2, I'll be up at like 5 or 6.

Gabe:

Wow, oh, your body.

Angelo:

When I switched to PM shift, sleeping like I'll like we're going to the gym. I get home at like 12, sometimes wake up at 6, but okay, I'm ready to go. And then after I stop going to the gym, I still wake up around 6 or 7.

Kevin:

Oh yeah.

Angelo:

But my body will refuse to sleep longer than 7.

Kevin:

Really.

Angelo:

Yeah for. But yeah, usually six ish is like an average.

Austin:

I try to sleep in man, I can't yeah fucking junior goes hi hello wake up father, like I sleep with a friggin blind uh, what is it called? A sleep mask, yeah I've just all gotten used to that, and then this fucker will just pull it and be like hi.

Angelo:

That's adorable.

Kevin:

That's adorable. Deja, deja.

Austin:

Deja Struggy, you're gonna melt. You got the Deja man.

Gabe:

What's that? Deja man? What's that?

Kevin:

Deja man Deja, deja, that's wild bro Well, that's sleep.

Austin:

So what was it? What were we talking about? Okay, cool Walking.

Kevin:

Walking. Walking weigh your food and sleep start with that.

Austin:

If you're watching this, if you're in a New Year's resolution journey, don't know where to start, you want to try something. You don't have a workout plan. Try and implement those three things and I promise you you may see some type of results. But I'm excited for Kevin's Zempic journey yeah, but you know what.

Kevin:

To be honest, though, if you guys tell us what you guys are doing, you know, like in the comments or whatever like, yeah, how many hours you like to sleep or how you like to weigh your food, you know. Because we want, we like to collaborate with other people. We'd like to hear what other people are doing too, because you know, you don't just learn by. You know by yourself, you learn from other people.

Austin:

Speaking of learning of other people, with other people, from other people. I've been doing my cooking videos. Kevin, how am I doing?

Kevin:

How's the chef? I was just like, you know. I was like is this why this fool asked me about some recipes earlier? And I was like damn dude, I don't know I was digging them and then the one he did was the one that made me laugh was the hot chocolate one.

Austin:

Oh yeah, because I just added protein. It's like this, motherfucker made hot chocolate and I just added protein.

Kevin:

And the worst part he missed filming the scooping of the of the protein part dude. It's hard to film while cooking, bro, I was literally like oh, you should get the necklace thing, oh, the necklace camera, yeah, the necklace like.

Austin:

I might do that yeah.

Kevin:

I tried. I bought one because I wanted to do cooking videos and then my phone was literally like this Because I have a fucking fat neck. So I was like I can't see dude. So I sent it back and I wrote out the. So I was like this thing's way too small. And they're like oh, we're so sorry, can we get you another one? I'm like is it bigger? They're like no, we only have one size. I'm like then so yeah, you know, but your video's been pretty cool.

Kevin:

The turkey scramble you know that's a cheat code. You know what I mean.

Austin:

I mean I tried, I mean I also launched the garlic shrimp noodles. That was like the big one, yeah you know what I got?

Kevin:

this digital book for really good recipes. I'll send it over to you.

Angelo:

Nice, Really yeah yeah.

Austin:

And we'll talk it off camera.

Gabe:

Oh, secrets bro.

Kevin:

Secret recipes yeah, but yeah, dude, They've been fun. So, Thank you, I want to. You should make like a joke one, though I want to like a not serious one.

Austin:

Oh. I was going to do like a, like a big ass sandwich, or something Like I was going to be like oh, here's a high protein sandwich and I was going to make like a regular sandwich and then add a ribeye on top.

Angelo:

And a scoop of protein.

Kevin:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure I like that. That'd be sick.

Austin:

Oh yeah, but yeah, dude, anything else you guys are doing that you guys are excited about for 2025?

Kevin:

I actually have a question, Sure For Gabe oh okay, yeah, for.

Gabe:

Gabe.

Kevin:

Okay, so like we were talking about, like you know our goals of like lifting stuff, like that, how, like for me, I have problems with deadlift, right, like, how do you make your? How do you lift more for deadlift, like, is it preparation, like other exercises, like getting muscles, like hitting different things, like, but how do you make your deadlift better? Everything, everything.

Gabe:

No, it's a…. Everybody's body is different.

Kevin:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Gabe:

When you look at the three lifts. When you lose weight, your deadlift will go up Usually Almost always, like lots of times bigger guys there's their guts in the way sometimes If you lose weight. Then you can comfortably wedge yourself in there a little bit more. Facts so that is one thing with weight loss that you can kind of see the lift increase, kevin.

Kevin:

No, it's true, I know, but like as soon as he said it, I was like yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah, I was like facts, facts.

Austin:

I understand that.

Gabe:

Yeah, yeah, Honestly, for the most part it's just following a program.

Kevin:

Okay, so consistency.

Gabe:

Consistency, consistency. And then, of course, your technique Someone just looking something of their form you never know. So technique consistency, anything Technique and protein Lose the gut.

Austin:

What is a full rep for a deadlift? Is it? You lift off the ground, right, you're holding on to it. You lift it up and then you let it down and then you let go.

Gabe:

Yes, or you lift it up and then you let go. Never let go of the top. That's my rule of thumb for my clients. Like you'll never see any of my clients oh yeah so we never let go for me. Lift. You lose gains there. That's where all the gains are at.

Kevin:

The eccentric portion. So we lift it up Full extension, all the way up, and then don't drop it, don't drop it. Just bring it all the way down.

Gabe:

Control all the way down. I'm not saying go slow, control it down. That's some good hamstring tension, dude I dropped it.

Angelo:

One time we were doing triples I dropped 305 right above my knee. I was like, oh, it hurts so fucking bad yeah why was your knee in the way?

Kevin:

look at him flex it too like yeah, I just dropped triple 305 on my knee because I was trying to hit a certain number 915

Angelo:

what no, no, we were doing shut up anyway.

Kevin:

But yeah, you're right. Yeah, don't jump from that because I hit.

Angelo:

like a good thing it didn't hit on my knee, but it was right above it. It hurt so fucking bad dude.

Austin:

Yeah, so thank Control, control, control it down Actually before I tell you, before I forget to tell you guys and this is open to you guys too what was it At the gym? We have a new coach, michelle. We drafted her from Stretch Lab, gave her a multi-figure dollar deal for multiple multiple months but she's bringing her talents to hyper strength and doing complimentary table stretches.

Austin:

If you guys want to take advantage of that table stretches yeah, I know you're taking a break, but feel free to come in and just take advantage of a 15 minute table stretch. She'll put you on the table, she'll stretch you out, do the massage gun like work on.

Kevin:

I thought it was like learn how to stretch using a table.

Angelo:

No, oh, I mean you can put your arm on the niggle like that.

Austin:

No, but she'll actually manual stretch you. Oh, that's cool. That's a boba and yoga event soon. I'm trying to figure that out. Boba and yoga oh okay, here's a question. Would you guys do a boba yoga event Saturday morning or Sunday morning?

Kevin:

Sunday morning Sunday morning now, because football's gonna be done soon.

Angelo:

Okay, either or, but it sounds fun.

Gabe:

Sundays are my recovery day, that'd be perfect.

Austin:

So Sunday morning, so boba and yoga.

Kevin:

I think boba and yoga on Saturday, and then yoga and brunch on Sunday.

Angelo:

Oh.

Kevin:

Why are you so sad? I'm just throwing that out there. I'm just making your life more difficult.

Austin:

You're just making me hungry now, my caloric deficit. I'm fucking hungry as shit.

Kevin:

Yeah, we should rent out Bill's Cafe and then you do yoga next to your table and then your eggs benedict come out.

Angelo:

You mean like yoga next to your table and then your eggs are going to come out. You're like you'll get next to the and you can do a half and half Kind of dirty, just for it, probably.

Austin:

I mean the steak and eggs, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean yeah, so boba yoga.

Kevin:

Boba yoga sounds interesting.

Austin:

Sunday morning, saturday morning.

Kevin:

So this is like a future thing you're thinking about.

Austin:

I'm thinking about doing it probably in February. Oh wow.

Kevin:

Nice, boba, I'm trying to do more events at Hyper. Can we just do Boba?

Angelo:

Yeah, just hang out Like yeah, just come out, boba, minus yoga. We'll watch yoga videos and be like, oh, that's cool. Who are you going to get for Boba?

Austin:

So well. Well, there was one vendor that we used for Junior's first birthday.

Kevin:

Oh yeah, that's right.

Austin:

I kind of like them. They're kind of pricey. So I hire them Teaspoon, I don't make money. I actually owe money if I make, if we hire them right, I can ask my uncle.

Gabe:

He owns a Clippy's.

Kevin:

Wait, shut up.

Gabe:

It's only in Patterson, but he man, that's awesome what's halfway I?

Austin:

don't know where's Patterson.

Gabe:

Tracy-ish yeah.

Kevin:

Oh so like maybe Dublin-ish maybe or something, yeah we go to okay. Filipino town. What's up there? Oh, you mean Little Manila, little Manila, yeah we'll meet there and then we'll check out Little Manila, then come back whatever's, whatever's you wanted to.

Austin:

You wanted to do a strongman games yeah oh that'd be sick yeah how would that? How would that work? Would it be a strongman games for beginners?

Gabe:

yeah, no, fuck it no, everyone's gonna carry the 400 pound stone, a bunch of casuals trying to trying to lift world's strongest man stuff.

Austin:

Yes, yeah, oh dude, world's Strongest man stuff, yes, yeah, oh, dude, I used to love watching that. So there'd be a car lift or what. What would the?

Gabe:

events be. That's the thing. I don't know what equipment we have. It depends on the equipment we get right. Yeah, that's true, oh, real quickly. A life goal. This isn't a year goal, but a life goal. There's different stones in and then, like, I think, like 20 guys or something have lifted it.

Austin:

Wait time out. How heavy is it? There's a.

Gabe:

Thor hammer. That needs to be different stones in different countries and they're known, so they have different names and they'll like. You can lift it up and then you can be like one of the persons that lifted them up.

Kevin:

And then the.

Austin:

Folkster yeah.

Gabe:

Where's?

Angelo:

that at.

Gabe:

I forgot what country it was in, but it's like.

Angelo:

You want to lift. It Sounds like a Scandinavian country or something Maybe yeah, oh wow, 300, like 80, 400 pounds Wow.

Kevin:

That's cool man, it's not in the Philippines.

Angelo:

No.

Austin:

Definitely not in the Philippines.

Kevin:

But sorry yeah. It's going to be fucking Lifting a shack oh yeah, you can lift their house horrible no, it's not horrible. The house.

Gabe:

It's improving over there. Okay, they've done that, yeah but yeah, in terms of games, something grip related, something make them fun, because, like if you look at the old strongman games. They had a lot of cool stuff. They did Like a tire throw, then they had the grip going on.

Austin:

A tire throw. They had like a kettlebell, throw right the cake, throw, the cake throw.

Kevin:

Or the ones that used to be sick. The log flips, where there's like three logs and they had to flip them over.

Austin:

Those are insane.

Kevin:

Those were sick too. You know they used to do the arm wrestling too. Back in the day with like what's his name?

Angelo:

I don't know you destroy your, your freaking elbow before you do a strong. Oh my god, oh my god they used to do in my Universal Studios too oh really, oh really, that's so cool.

Gabe:

That's pretty sick, really one of the guys who won the 1980s. He went to my high school. He's a. He had the shot put record at our high school.

Kevin:

But yeah, that's cool. That's cool, that's a good life goal. Yeah, man, that's tight dude, that's exciting.

Austin:

I'm excited for you. Thank you. Well, this wraps up our first official episode back season 3 Nerd Out Workout podcast.

Kevin:

That's it. That's it. How do you guys feel? It's the first episode with us. First episode with us, man, it's cool.

Angelo:

I've never done this, so thanks for inviting us. Can I say one more thing, though? Sure, since we're talking about goals and stuff, I think it's important to say just start small, don't overwhelm yourself with outrageous big goals. It's always good to have an end goal, but sometimes, when you look at the distance, it's too far, so you just got to take it one step at a time. It's like running a marathon Wait for the water, stop it's every two miles and just incrementally increase your… and just chill there.

Angelo:

Yeah, chill, there have a couple of snacks, but you know, just start small that way you start building, get it over. You don't even have to walk like a half mile, walk down the street, just like.

Gabe:

Start small, small bites small and it gets easier and every goal you reach, it gets easier and you just keep going yeah, over intensity yeah just like don't get too.

Angelo:

I mean, I get discouraged a lot with my own goals, but you just gotta start somewhere and eventually you're like oh, it's actually not too bad, it's not as daunting as you think it to be.

Kevin:

So thank you for that stay motivated yeah final thoughts, any thoughts, just do it.

Austin:

I'm just kidding, no, no.

Kevin:

Angela, just do it. That was well said, sir.

Austin:

Well said sir.

Gabe:

I like that a lot.
